Sanyo 720 AAA VS. AERO 800 5/4AAA
New
multimeter came in the mail today, so i took some readings
to see if these AERO nimh cells are up to the task, ive
been flying one 8 cell and one 9 cell pack of them, seem
to have more power and duration than the sanyo 720's,
heres what i got
both packs HOC 10 seconds into the run
GWS eps300c-bs apc 10x4.7 prop
Sanyo 720 nimh AAA
8.6A 7.3 V 62.78 watts-very hard on these batteries
Aero 800 5/4AAA
9.9A 8.0V 79.2 watts-packs arent nearly as warm as the
sanyos after a flight
so far i maybe have 10 cycles on each Aero pack, so time
will tell, but for $1.20 a cell, you cant go wrong

Cheap Batteries!
www.batterieswholesale.com
they sell 1/4 AAA 150mAH batteries for 92 cents each if
you buy ten, 74 cents each if you buy 20 etc. etc. however
shipping is ass expensive. i checked it and for ten
batteries it costs 9.20 while shipping costs like 17.40
(what the hell?). so you're better off buying their
sampler pack. the sampler pack includes 8 batteries for 13
american and includes shipping fees. so that works out to
like 1.60 per battery which is cheap. i bought 8 with my
friend and they came in the mail. i couldn't believe how
small it was, i opened the envelope and it's surrounded by
bubble wrap, at first i thought it was empty cuz i couldnt
find the batteries lol. i really dont see how shipping
coulda been 17 dollars i'm pretty sure it would cost like
5 dollars canadian if i shipped it. anyways they're in
australia so it takes a week or two before the batteries
come but they're worth it. 8 for 13 dollars including
shipping. so i suggest whoever wants some go buy it from
that site cuz that's the cheapest price you'll get. if you
dont need 8, just buy it and sell it to some friends
that's what i'm gonna do. me and my friend are doing a 3
bat mod so we'll have 4 batteries left over (2 from the
sampler pack and the 2 that come inside the bit char-g's)
so we're going to sell it to some friends and make the
money back lol.

I just
ordered 8 1/3 AAA 210mah cells for $13 shipped to my house
from batterieswholesale.com.
And after frying the stock battery by using 6V straight
into the car instead of 4.5V, I justed ordered the DuraTrax
AC/DC Piranha Digital Peak Charger NiCd/NiMH from
towerhobbies for about $50 ($58 shipped).
Well the car has been running for
over 38 minutes
and it's still going strong. I'd keep going but I've got
to get some sleep.
Highly recommend the Peak Charger and 3 1/3 AAA 210mAh
batteries mod (just make sure you're good at soldering
batteries).

AERO
High Performance Cells ????
http://www.batterieswholesale.com/nimh.htm
Looks interesting. The 10C discharge batteries are on the
bottom of the page.
Anyone using these cells??
hoppy
I
bought a bunch of the 3000mAh cells but have only had one
flight on a pack ( unexpected arrival ). However, the pack
did seem to perform as well as the rc 3000 hv. I will be
able to tell more in about a week when the plane I am
repairing takes to the air. A buddy of mine got some of
the fast charge 600 NiCd cells and he is quite happy with
them.
